# Bywell > The connector for the personal investor. Bywell connects a brokerage account, read-only, to Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Gemini and other MCP clients, plus iOS and Android apps, so people can ask about the stocks they actually own, with their holdings, theses and goals in context. Connect your brokerage to ChatGPT and Claude, read-only. News, earnings dates and plain-English explanations for the stocks you own. Free to start. Bywell provides general information and education, not investment advice. It never makes buy, sell or hold recommendations, it can't place trades or move money, and it explains the case for and against with sources. ## Who it's for People who want to understand and run their own investing in Canada or the US, from first-time investors learning how a TFSA, FHSA or Roth IRA works to experienced self-directed investors who keep a written thesis. The goal is understanding before acting, never hype or tips. ## What it does - Connects brokerages read-only through SnapTrade (Wealthsimple, Questrade, TD Direct Investing, National Bank, Qtrade, Robinhood, Fidelity, Schwab, Vanguard, E*TRADE, Webull, Interactive Brokers and more). Bywell can't trade, move money or see passwords. - Holdings across accounts and brokerages, valued in the user's chosen currency, grouped by account, account type (TFSA, RRSP, FHSA, Roth IRA, 401(k)...) or brokerage. - Today: a briefing, news on holdings and watchlist grouped by sector with each sector's move, and market headlines. - Stock pages: the user's position, their own thesis and notes, news, company profile, earnings history, quarterly revenue, analyst ratings and key stats. - A private journal per stock: why I own it, what would make me sell, what I'm watching, plus dated notes and saved research with sources. - Bywell AI research with cited sources (in the app, on Pro), or the same research free in the user's own Claude or ChatGPT through the connector. It checks news against the user's own thesis and never says buy, sell or hold. - Earnings reminders (before and the morning after results) and short lessons that use the user's own portfolio as the example. ## Use it in an AI assistant (MCP) Remote MCP server: https://api.bywell.org/mcp Add it as a custom connector in Claude, ChatGPT (developer mode), Codex, Gemini or any MCP client, then sign in with a Bywell account. Tools: get_account, get_holdings, get_allocation, get_watchlists, add_to_watchlist, remove_from_watchlist, create_earnings_reminder, list_reminders, delete_reminder, get_journal, save_note, update_note, delete_note, update_thesis, get_conversations, get_conversation, get_goals, create_goal, update_goal, get_contribution_room, set_contribution_room, get_lesson. The connector shares the user's own Bywell data only; the assistant looks up live prices, news and earnings with its own web search. ## Availability Bywell is coming soon to iPhone and Android. Prices will be announced at launch. ## Guides for beginners - Start here: https://bywell.org/learn/start-investing-on-your-own - Every account type in Canada and the US with 2026 limits: https://bywell.org/learn/investment-accounts-explained-canada-us - FHSA: https://bywell.org/learn/fhsa-explained - TFSA vs RRSP: https://bywell.org/learn/tfsa-vs-rrsp-beginners ## Links - Website: https://bywell.org - Get started: https://bywell.org/start - Guides: https://bywell.org/learn - Terms: https://bywell.org/terms - Privacy: https://bywell.org/privacy - Company: Kunolu, Toronto ## Guides - [How to start investing on your own: a beginner's guide for Canada and the US (2026)](https://bywell.org/learn/start-investing-on-your-own): A calm, step-by-step guide to investing on your own in Canada or the US: set a goal, pick the right account, open it, choose what to hold, and understand it. - [Investment accounts explained: TFSA, RRSP and FHSA vs Roth IRA, 401(k) and HSA (2026)](https://bywell.org/learn/investment-accounts-explained-canada-us): Every main investment account in Canada and the US in plain language, with 2026 limits: TFSA, RRSP, FHSA, RESP, Roth and Traditional IRA, 401(k) and HSA. - [FHSA explained (2026): how the First Home Savings Account works](https://bywell.org/learn/fhsa-explained): The FHSA in plain language: who qualifies, the $8,000 yearly and $40,000 lifetime limits, carry-forward, the tax deduction, and what happens if you don't buy. - [How to connect your brokerage account to ChatGPT or Claude](https://bywell.org/learn/connect-brokerage-to-chatgpt-claude): The safe way to connect your brokerage to ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini: a read-only connector, not screenshots or passwords.
